1. About These Terms

PicCal is provided by SHAREIT WIDGET PTE. LTD. In these Terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to that company. “PicCal” or the “Service” means the PicCal application and the related services we make available through it.

These Terms govern your access to the Service. By installing or using PicCal, you agree to them. If you do not accept them, you must stop using the Service. You must have the legal capacity required to enter into this agreement under the laws that apply to you.

Any additional conditions presented for a particular feature apply to that feature together with these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Agreeing to these Terms does not replace a separate permission or consent that applicable law requires for a particular data use.

2. What PicCal Provides

PicCal helps you record meals, track calories and nutrients, monitor water intake and weight, and review personal wellness trends. Depending on the available features, you may identify food from an image, describe a meal in text, look up a barcode, correct a result, or save an entry for later reference.

The Service is intended for personal wellness tracking. Its food descriptions, estimates, and explanations are informational tools. They are not a medical assessment, a personalized treatment plan, or a guarantee that a food is safe or suitable for you.

3. Permission to Use the Application

While you comply with these Terms, we allow you to use PicCal under a limited, personal, non-exclusive license for your own non-commercial purposes. You may not transfer or sublicense that permission. The license can end as described in Section 14.

For an App Store download, the license covers use on Apple-branded devices you own or control, within the applicable Apple usage rules. Nothing in these Terms overrides usage rights that Apple requires us to recognize or rights that applicable law makes non-waivable.

Receiving access to PicCal does not give you ownership of the application, its code, or the materials we provide.

4. Your Records and Submitted Content

You keep the rights you lawfully hold in your photographs, descriptions, corrections, feedback, and other submitted material. You are responsible for having the permissions needed to submit that material and for respecting other people's privacy and intellectual property.

You authorize us to process, transmit, store, display, and analyze your submissions only as reasonably needed to provide, maintain, secure, and improve PicCal. This includes sending relevant inputs to service providers used to perform a feature you request, as explained in Section 5 and the Privacy Policy. This permission does not transfer ownership of your material to us or grant an unrestricted right to publish your private food records for unrelated purposes.

How long we keep information, the role of third-party processors, and the ways you can manage your information are explained in the Privacy Policy. A processing permission in these Terms does not extend a retention period stated there.

We may decline to process or remove material that infringes another person's rights, violates these Terms, or presents a legal or security risk.

5. AI Features and Remote Processing

Model services

PicCal's AI-assisted food recognition uses Doubao model services supplied through Volcengine. These services may identify likely foods and estimate portions, calories, macronutrients, vitamins, minerals, glycemic load, and related benefits or risks. They may also generate explanations of the result.

Submitted information and transmission

When you request recognition or analysis, the image, description, correction, or associated scan input may travel from your device to PicCal's backend and then to the relevant AI service. The output is returned for display in the application. Barcode and food lookups may also depend on external databases or other backend services.

After an AI scan request is processed, our server does not retain the original scan image or scan input. If you choose to save a generated result or related information through an app feature, that information becomes a saved app record. Limited operational logs may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy. Our statement about our own server does not describe or guarantee the AI provider's retention practices.

Do not submit identity documents, financial details, private messages, or other sensitive information that the feature does not need. Submit information about another person only where you have the right to do so and it is necessary for the request. If you do not want particular content sent for remote AI processing, do not submit it through an AI feature.

The providers' processing and service conditions are described in the Volcengine Service Terms, Volcengine Privacy Policy, Doubao User Agreement, Doubao Privacy Policy, and Doubao Instructions and Model Disclosures.

Reviewing generated results

Recognition is probabilistic. An image may not reveal a recipe, hidden ingredient, cooking method, or true portion weight. Lighting, packaging, obstruction, database gaps, and incorrect input can also affect an estimate. Outputs may be incomplete, outdated, misleading, or wrong even when presented confidently.

Check the result before saving it or using it to guide a decision. We do not promise that a generated identification, nutritional value, ingredient inference, allergy inference, explanation, or recommendation is accurate, complete, current, safe, or appropriate for your circumstances.

6. Health and Food-Safety Boundaries

PicCal does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent a disease or health condition. Its content does not replace a doctor, registered dietitian, pharmacist, or other appropriately qualified professional.

Do not rely on the Service alone when making decisions about allergies, medication, pregnancy, child feeding, eating disorders, chronic conditions, disease management, or emergencies. Before changing a diet or lifestyle in circumstances requiring professional advice, consult a qualified professional.

Neither an AI output nor a database entry establishes that a food is free of allergens, contamination, or unsafe ingredients. Check packaging, ingredient information, and professional guidance whenever accuracy or safety matters. You remain responsible for deciding how to use the information provided.

7. Paid Features and Apple Purchases

PicCal may offer subscriptions, trials, premium features, or other in-app purchases. The available plans, prices, trial eligibility, and included features may differ by region, app version, platform, or applicable Apple rules. Review the purchase information shown before confirming a transaction.

For purchases made in the iOS application:

  • Apple processes the transaction through the App Store and charges your Apple Account when the purchase is confirmed.
  • A subscription may renew automatically unless you cancel it in accordance with Apple's subscription rules.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings.
  • Apple manages billing disputes, refund requests, chargebacks, tax invoices, and payment credentials.

Deleting PicCal or ceasing to use it does not itself cancel a subscription. Use Apple's subscription settings to stop renewal. We cannot guarantee that Apple will approve a refund, reverse Apple's billing decisions, or issue a separate off-platform refund for an Apple purchase. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

8. Responsible Use and Access Security

Use PicCal only for lawful purposes and within the permissions granted by these Terms. Keep your device, Apple Account, and access to the application secure. Information you choose to provide should be accurate and updated when necessary. If you believe access to the Service has been compromised, contact us promptly.

You must not:

  • Upload unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, threatening, abusive, or deliberately misleading material.
  • Introduce malicious code, disrupt another person's use, or place an unreasonable load on the Service.
  • Access systems, records, or services without authorization, or bypass security controls, access restrictions, or purchase entitlements.
  • Copy, resell, rent, sublicense, mirror, scrape, or commercially exploit the application or its data without permission.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent an applicable law expressly allows it.
  • Use automated requests to harvest content or defeat technical limits without our written authorization.
  • Remove proprietary notices, misrepresent an affiliation with us, or use PicCal branding to imply an endorsement that does not exist.

These restrictions do not take away a right that applicable law prevents us from restricting.

9. PicCal Intellectual Property

The software, interface, layouts, icons, text, databases, service logic, branding, and other materials provided as part of PicCal belong to SHAREIT WIDGET PTE. LTD. or the relevant licensors. They are protected by intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited use allowed by these Terms, you receive no right to reproduce, adapt, distribute, publish, or otherwise exploit those materials. User-owned submissions and third-party materials remain subject to their respective ownership rights.

10. External Services and Links

The Service may use outside providers for hosting, AI inference, food information, barcode lookup, analytics, crash diagnostics, payments, or support. The availability and behavior of those services can affect PicCal, and their own terms or policies may also apply.

A link to an external website is provided for access or reference; it is not a guarantee of that site's content or an endorsement of its operator. We do not control independent third-party websites or their policies. Your separate dealings with a third party are between you and that party, subject to rights and responsibilities that applicable law places on us.

11. Support, Feedback, and Notices

Send support requests, suggestions, or questions to contact@shareitwidget.top. Include enough information to explain the issue, while avoiding unnecessary sensitive material.

If you voluntarily suggest an improvement or product idea, you permit us to consider and implement that suggestion without an obligation to pay you or credit you. This permission does not make private information in a support request public or override the Privacy Policy.

We may provide service notices through the application or, where you have supplied an appropriate contact address, by email. Electronic notices may satisfy a written-notice requirement where applicable law permits. Any legally required delivery method or notice period takes precedence.

12. Reporting Intellectual Property Concerns

If you believe material available through PicCal infringes your rights, contact contact@shareitwidget.top. Identify the protected work or right, describe the material at issue and where it can be found, and provide a way for us to contact you.

Please also explain why you believe the use is unauthorized and whether you own the right or act for its owner. Include any signature, declaration, or additional information required by the law under which you submit the report. We may request clarification to assess the concern and take appropriate action.

13. Changes to Features and Availability

PicCal relies on compatible devices, network access, Apple services, backend systems, and external providers. We aim to maintain a useful service, but cannot promise uninterrupted access, immediate results, or operation without errors.

For product, security, legal, operational, or business reasons, we may change, restrict, suspend, or discontinue a feature, model, design, price, entitlement, or service. Any required notice, rights relating to an existing purchase, and mandatory consumer protections continue to apply. A future feature or improvement is not guaranteed unless we expressly commit to providing it.

14. Suspension and Ending Use

You may stop using PicCal at any time. Subscription cancellation and information deletion are separate actions and should be handled through the relevant settings or request process.

We may restrict or end access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, create a security or legal risk, or if law or platform requirements require us to act. When your permission to use the application ends, you must stop accessing the affected Service.

Ending access does not remove obligations already incurred or rights that must continue by law. Provisions concerning ownership, accrued payments, applicable liability limits, and dispute resolution continue to operate where their purpose requires it. Information retention and deletion remain governed by the Privacy Policy.

15. Service Warranties

To the extent applicable law allows, PicCal and its related content are supplied on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not give warranties beyond those expressly stated in these Terms or required by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, suitability for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that every result will be accurate, that all defects will be corrected, or that access will always be timely, secure, or free of interruption. These limitations do not exclude statutory guarantees or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

16. Responsibility for Loss

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SHAREIT WIDGET PTE. LTD. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, PicCal. The same limitation applies to losses involving data, profits, goodwill, business opportunities, health outcomes, device availability, or access to the Service, to the extent their exclusion is lawful.

The limitation applies even where the possibility of such loss has been brought to our attention. It does not exclude or restrict liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or restrict. If your jurisdiction limits the use of a disclaimer or exclusion, that provision applies only to the extent permitted there.

17. Applicable Law and Resolving Concerns

If a dispute arises, you may send us a description of the issue and the outcome you are seeking using the contact details in Section 20. We will seek to address the concern with you. Contacting us does not suspend a legal deadline or prevent you from using a remedy available under mandatory law.

Applicable law is determined subject to the relevant conflict-of-law rules and mandatory consumer protections. Nothing in these Terms removes a right that cannot lawfully be waived or restricts access to a court or regulator where that access is protected by applicable law.

18. Additional Conditions for Apple Users

For an application obtained from the App Store, the following also applies:

  • Your agreement is with SHAREIT WIDGET PTE. LTD. Apple is not a party to these Terms. We are responsible for PicCal and its content, and for any maintenance or support required of us. Apple has no obligation to maintain or support PicCal.
  • If the application fails to satisfy an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and obtain a refund of its purchase price. As far as the law permits, Apple has no further warranty obligations. Responsibility for remaining warranty-related claims, losses, and expenses rests with us to the extent required by law.
  • We, rather than Apple, are responsible for addressing claims about the application or its use, including product liability, legal compliance, consumer protection, and privacy claims. We are also responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and resolving third-party claims that the application infringes intellectual property rights.
  • You must comply with applicable third-party agreements when using PicCal. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a United States government embargo or designated by that government as supporting terrorism, and that you are not listed as a prohibited or restricted party by the United States government.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you once you accept them.

These provisions do not reduce any responsibility we have under applicable law. The license described in Section 3 remains subject to Apple's applicable usage rules.

19. Updates and General Contract Provisions

We may revise these Terms and publish the new version on the terms page or in PicCal. The date at the beginning identifies the current version. Continued use after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law. Where a change requires separate notice or agreement, the applicable requirement takes precedence.

These Terms, together with any applicable feature-specific conditions, set out the agreement for using PicCal. If a provision cannot lawfully be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent possible. A delay in enforcing a right does not, by itself, waive that right.

You may not transfer this agreement or your license without our written permission, except where law allows you to do so. We may transfer our rights and obligations where permitted by law, without removing protections that you are legally entitled to retain. Section titles assist navigation and do not change the meaning of the provisions.
